Global Degree Academy is a travel provider for students to visit countries around the world while studying online courses. Their mission is to make their students “global citizens” by immersing them in local cultures and by creating a community of students embarking on the same learning journey.

The company was struggling to get enough qualified students to join their programs and approached the team to help redesign their website and enrolment workflow.

One pain point identified was that there is redundant content scattered across the site making it difficult to gather the necessary info to learn about the programs and how to apply. So the team restructured the website into 3 main sections in the navigation bar: How it works, Where we go, and Get Invite. Additional sections such as About Us, Blog, Reviews, For Parents, and FAQ are moved to the footer.

Another pain point identified was that the pictures and videos do not reflect the fun and adventurous spirit that their social media depicts. To fix this, we incorporated some photos from their social media throughout the website as banner backgrounds and to break up sections.

One last pain point is that the application form is too long. So we broke it down into three sections and reduced the questions to only what is necessary to contact the applicant and start the interview process.
